Greyn has officially launched

On 8 September, we launched Greyn in Lier during an evening dedicated to sustainability, circularity, digitalisation and AI in construction. Discover how Greyn makes unused building materials visible and tradable again.

On 8 September 2026, we brought together entrepreneurs, construction professionals and experts at De Kwekerij in Lier for the official launch of Greyn.

Turning unused materials into new value

Every day, valuable building materials remain unused on construction sites, in warehouses and at merchants. Organisations often lack a clear overview, registering the materials takes too much time, or supply and demand simply fail to find each other.

Greyn makes these materials visible and tradable again through a single digital platform. With the help of AI, users can turn a photo into a complete listing. This makes it easier to inventory, offer and reuse surplus materials.

More than a product launch

The evening was about more than Greyn. Together with entrepreneurs and experts, we explored how sustainability, circularity and digitalisation can already be applied in practical ways across the construction sector.

Hans Verboven opened the main programme. Sophie D’Hulst, Joeri Beneens and Nick Celis then shared their experiences with local entrepreneurship, circular construction, logistics, material reuse and digital innovation.

AI and digital resilience were also part of the conversation. As the construction sector becomes increasingly digital, it becomes even more important to use technology thoughtfully and securely.

The next step

For us, this launch is not the finish line, but the beginning. Together with construction companies, merchants, local authorities and other partners, we want to help available materials find a new purpose faster.
